The shadows were very long. The light of the sun rays hit me straight in the eyes, and the snow had a purple hue.
The last sun beams of the year, or at least the last I saw of the sun.
This was on Sunday, November 19. Clear sky, almost no wind and about two degrees below zero. Too little snow to go skiing without risk of scraping up the soles of the skies on random rocks, but perfect conditions for hiking on foot.
Purple, pink and gold, a spectacular farewell. See you again sometime after January 21 in 2018. So long, and thanks for all the light!
